So a few weeks ago I attended a speaker series at school "Dare to discover and live your life purpose." Initially I was not so excited about going because I felt that it would be another boring session that I would have to sit through just to get extra credit. Well let's just say that the speaker exceeded my expectations!
The speaker gave us each a handout of all the things discussed along with an activity to do at our own leisure. The activity was designed to narrow your top life desire, 3 actions words that would set the tone for your future and your life purpose. Well let's just say it did not take long to figure out my 3 action words and my top desire. In fact all of my desires led me back to this one desire "Happiness!"
Out of all of my desires: financial, spiritual, intellectual, family, social, career etc. it all leads back to me desiring to find true happiness. I want to do a lot of things in life so much it shocks me at times, but most of all I just want to be happy! Now to some people happiness may be subjective or relative to your position. By that i mean who you are and or where you are.
For me I want to be happy and the only way I can do that is by being the person that God created me to be, finding my purpose and fufilling my destiny. Once I do that because of my faith in God the rest will fall into place in due season! I believe that if I put him first and do what he wants me to do he will take care of everything concerning me!
Tonight I went to an event called "Image." After the event I returned home and I sat down at my desk to work on my purpose statement. To my amazement I was able to complete my life purpose statement. For the past few weeks I struggled to figure out the last sentence!!! God rekindled a flame in me tonight. He also gave me ideas last night and tonight. Let's just say it's go time!
My life purpose statement " I Summer Tinch exist to: Glorify God by inspiring other to discover who they are and to create an image of love for God and one's self."

Summer
